Grammar 1:
Understanding English Sentences and Their Parts
With George Ann
Gregory
Course Type:
Self-paced, one-on-one, with weekly assignments in grammar, using a Mastery Learning
approach-- because each lesson builds on the previous materials, I will
work with you to insure your complete understanding. If needed, I will
give you additional exercises for whatever level you may need.
Duration:
8 Weeks
Objective:
Grammar describes how sentences are
put together. You may recall struggling with understanding “parts of
speech.” This course demystifies the relationship between nouns and
verbs and all the ways to use these in making sentences. This course
begins with simple sentences and their building blocks; then, it moves
you step-by-step toward more complex sentences. You also get additional
practice with the two basic building blocks of sentences: verbs and
nouns. Each section provides definitions of terms, samples, and
exercises.
The goal of this course is to give you
grammatical control of the sentences you produce in your writing. Upon
completing this course, you can create a variety of English sentences
that are concise, descriptive, and structurally correct. Additionally,
you can punctuate them correctly.
